Unofficial fundraising figures as of this (Wednesday) morning on the Brazos Valley Gives website show $1,306,577 was raised.  The funds came from 4,790 donations and were contributed to 200 local and area nonprofit organizations.

The preliminary total is also above last year’s official total of $1,285,814 for 198 nonprofits.

Each year, the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley hosts the fundraiser to support nonprofits throughout the seven-county region of the Brazos Valley.  Tuesday was the culmination of a month-long giving effort.

Supporters were able to donate through the website and at in-person drop-offs like The Rodney in Caldwell and Brookshire Brothers in Brenham, Navasota and College Station.  All donations pass through directly to the donor’s charity or charities of choice.

Final fundraising tallies will be announced at a later date.
