SEND-OFF MONDAY FOR BRENHAM CUB BAND’S TRIP TO STATE MARCHING CONTEST

  

The Brenham Cub Band is getting ready for the UIL State Marching Contest at the Alamodome in San Antonio, and Cub supporters are invited to cheer on the band as it travels out of town.

A send-off for the Cub Band and Guard will wind through town Monday morning.  Buses will depart from Cub Stadium at 10:20 a.m.  

The route will go by the middle school and junior high school before turning north onto Chappell Hill Street, west onto Blue Bell Road and by the high school before getting onto Highway 36 and eventually Highway 290. 

The public is encouraged to line the streets and show their support. 

The band will compete in the preliminary round on Monday at 5:30 p.m.  The top 12 participating bands will move on to the finals on Tuesday. 

The community is also invited tomorrow (Friday) to enjoy a performance by the band during halftime of the Cub football game at Cub Stadium.  Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
