KTEX/KWHI INVITES TO PUBLIC TO JOIN THE WREATH CHALLENGE

Radio Stations KTEX and KWHI are inviting the public to take part in the Wreath Challenge.

National Wreaths Across America Day is coming up on Saturday, December 13.  As part of the day, sponsored wreaths are placed on veterans’ grave markers at cemeteries nationwide.

KTEX and KWHI are helping the Anchor Club of Brenham to raise money to put wreaths on the graves of every veteran at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.

Listeners for the two radio stations are asked to sponsor one wreath and help show veterans’ families what the community is made of.

The cost of each wreath is $17.

They will also have a line for wreaths if you would like to pick one up at Prairie Lea and take it to another cemetery.

Physical forms can be filled out at Memorial Oaks Chapel and Brenham Memorial Chapel. Cash and checks are being accepted.

If you would like to donate on-line, you can go to ktex.com or kwhi.com and find the link.

The deadline to make a donation is next Thursday, November 27.

The Anchor Club will be holding a program on Saturday, December 13, at 10am at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

The wreaths will be distributed afterwards to be placed on the graves of local veterans.

The goal of project is to fill the cemetery with wreaths so that not one veteran is left behind.
