BURTON PANTHER BASKETBALL WINS TWO MORE AT THE SNOOK TOURNAMENT

The Burton Panthers won two more games earlier (today) at the Snook Blue Jay Tournament.

After yesterday's (Thursday's) 44-29 win over Round Top-Carmine, Burton started today (Friday) with a 49-27 win over Geneva.

The game started off close with the Panthers winning the first quarter 13-10. Burton pulled away in the second quarter by outscoring the Eagles 10-3 to take a 23-13 lead at halftime.

Geneva won the third quarter 9-8, which made it a 31-22 Panther advantage.

However, Burton came up with a strong fourth quarter, 18-5, to seal the win.

In the second game, the Panthers beat the College Station JV 42-32. The win improved Burton to 3-0 in the tournament and 7-2 overall.

Next up, the Panthers will advance to the championship game, which will be played tomorrow (Saturday) at 12:45pm. The opponent is to be determined.
