CHAMBER/EDF BANQUET TO CHANGE FORMAT; VOTING OPEN FOR BUSINESS, NONPROFIT AWARD FINALISTS

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce and Brenham Economic Development Foundation Banquet will take on a different look this year.

Chamber Events and Programs Coordinator Mandy Beausoleil says the banquet, coming up on Tuesday, January 27th at 5:30 p.m. at the Fireman’s Training Center, will forego a keynote speech from a special guest.

Past banquets have featured presentations from business professionals, academic officials and other prestigious individuals.  However, Beausoleil says the decision to not invite a keynote speaker for this banquet was based on membership feedback over the past few years, which included comments on the timeline and the overall focus of the evening.

Chamber and economic development officials will still speak and provide updates on local matters, discussing the accomplishments of 2025 and what is to come in 2026.

The awards portion of the program will continue as normal, including the Man and Woman of the Year, Businesses of the Year and Nonprofit of the Year.

Nominations are now closed for each of the award categories, but voting has opened for the top three finalists for Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, New Business of the Year and Nonprofit of the Year.  Voting closes on Friday, January 16th at 5 p.m.  Click here to submit votes.

An independent panel of judges will review and choose from the nominations for Man and Woman of the Year.

Tickets for the banquet are $50 per individual and $600 per table of eight people.  Tickets can be purchased until January 20th by visiting https://brenhamtexas.com
