THREE ACCIDENTS AMONG FOUR CALLS THURSDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department was called out four times on Thursday.
Around 8:15 a.m., units went to a transportation incident in the 100 block of North Chappell Hill Street. They found a two-vehicle accident with no injuries and no fluids leaking. The department cleared the scene once both vehicles were removed from the roadway.
Another transportation incident was called in just before 5 p.m. at Highway 290 East and Tiaden Lane. Firefighters discovered a single-vehicle accident with no one entrapped and no fluids leaking. They returned to service once the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
A few minutes past 7:30 p.m., BFD personnel were dispatched to a home in the 900 block of Fannin Street for a report of a carbon monoxide detector going off. Firefighters and the City of Brenham Gas Department found a small reading on the detectors and found that the stove was putting off the carbon monoxide. Units returned to the station after ventilating the home.
A third transportation incident was reported shortly after 10 p.m. in the 500 block of South Austin Street. The department found a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. After checking for fluids and finding none, the department cleared the call.
