BURTON VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO COLUMBUS IN TOURNAMENT FINALS
The Burton Lady Panther Volleyball Team finished as the first runner-ups at the Columbus Tournament.
In the semifinals, Burton swept Schulenburg 2-0, 25-15 and 25-17. Lexi Broesche had nine kills and 11 digs. Kinsey Lunbeck added six kills and four blocks, Madalyn Henry finished with six kills, Laci Broesche chipped in with five aces and 27 assists, and Adison Harmel added nine digs.
Then in the Championship Match, Burton won the first set 25-20, but Columbus rallied to win the final two sets 25-11 and 28-26 to take the match. Lexi Broesche had 12 kills and 18 digs, Madalyn Henry was right behind her with 11 kills and 18 digs, Laci Broesche dished out 32 assists and finished with 14 digs, and Adison Harmel added 23 digs.
The Lady Panthers are now 8-2 on the season. They will host Fayetteville on Tuesday at 6pm.
