COX APPOINTED TO GRIMES CO. COMMISSIONERS COURT

A Navasota man has been appointed to fill the unexpired term of a late Grimes County Commissioner.
Grimes County Judge Joe Fauth III has announced the appointment of Philip Cox to fulfill the term of late Pct. 4 Commissioner Gary Husfeld.
Cox has been employed with Grimes County as an Adult Probation Supervisor since 2001.
Cox will be sworn in April 9th. The swearing-in will take place on the courthouse steps at 9 a.m. and Cox will take his seat on commissioners’ court April 11.
Cox will serve through Dec. 31st of this year. A replacement for Husfeld on the November 6 General Election ballot will be determined by county Republican Party chair Susan Patrick and the three precinct chairs of the voting precincts in Precinct 4.
