230 CAST EARLY VOTES THURSDAY IN STATE REP. RACE

  

Thursday saw the busiest day so far for Early Voting for the May 5th Special Election for District 13 State Representative.

According to Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel, 230 early ballots were cast yesterday, bringing the three-day total to 775 votes cast.

Early Voting in this race, continues today, next Monday and Tuesday.  There will be no voting taking place this weekend.

There are 3 candidates on the ballot, Democrat: Cecil Webster and two Republicans: Ben Lehman and Jill Wolfskill.   The winner will fill the post until the end of 2018.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Courthouse Annex, located at 100 S. Park, Street, Brenham, just across the street from the courthouse.

Election Day is Saturday, May 5th.

Leman and Wolfskill are also involved in a separate runoff election, later next month, to decide the Republican candidate to face Webster in November’s general election.
