SIEGEL TO TAKE ON McCAUL IN NOVEMBER; VALDEZ TO FACE ABBOT
There were a pair of races of regional and state-wide significance on Tuesday’s ballots.
In the District-10 U.S. Congressional Democratic primary, Mike Siegel defeated Tawana Walter-Cadian, 12,274 to 5,285, or 70-to-30%.
Siegel will face incumbent Michael McCaul in November.
For the Democrats’ candidate for Texas Governor, Lupe Valdez edged Andrew White, 53-to-47%, or 227,577-to-201,356 votes.
Valdez will face Governor Greg Abbot in November.
