TWO HOSPITALIZED AFTER HOUSE FIRE IN WASHINGTON CO. SUNDAY MORNING

  

Two people were hospitalized after a large fire in Washington County early Sunday morning.

Dispatch reports show the Rocky Creek Volunteer Fire Department was called out around 5:30 a.m. to a structure fire in the 11000 block of Lakeview Road, northwest of Gay Hill.

Units arrived at the site of a two-story house, which was on fire along with several cars.  Two residents were outside the building, with one reported to be suffering from burns.

Seven other area fire departments responded to assist.  During the response, one unnamed firefighter had a medical emergency, and had to be taken to an area hospital.  The firefighter is said to be in stable condition.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
