BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING PREGNANT WOMAN

A Brenham man is in custody after his arrest on an assault charge.
Police were called out Tuesday morning to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Brenham in reference to an alleged assault.
A police investigation led to the arrest of 19-year old Kevon Mathis of Brenham for an alleged attack on a pregnant woman.
Mathis was charged with Assault on a Pregnant Person, as well as two outstanding warrants for Assault Causing Bodily Injuries.
Mathis was taken to the Washington County Jail.
