TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES IN LA GRANGE

Two people from La Grange were arrested on drug charges Tuesday by Fayette County authorities. Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on at approximately 7:00 PM Deputy Adam Mack observed a vehicle traveling with defective equipment in the area of Franklin and Fannin streets in La Grange. Deputy Mack initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle while speaking with the driver they admitted to having marijuana in their possession. While speaking with the driver and passengers, Mack also obtained information that one of the passengers had Methamphetamines in her purse. Mack located assorted methamphetamine paraphernalia in the passenger’s purse and was advised by dispatch that the passenger had an active warrant for her arrest. The driver and passenger were placed under arrest and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center. Upon entry to the jail the female subject was found to have concealed Methamphetamines within her clothing.
Arrested were 39 year old Gene Webster Jr. of La Grange, for the offense of Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces, and 38 year old Tiffany Proske of La Grange for the offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with or Fabricating Physical evidence, and Possession of prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
