TOTAL COVID-19 COUNT IN WASHINGTON CO. UP TO 365, ACTIVE COUNT TO 152 AFTER 15 NEW CASES MONDAY
Washington County reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 Monday, bringing the county’s total case count to 365 and its active count to 152.
Monday’s cases include 13 patients from Brenham, one from Burton, and one from Chappell Hill. They include nine women and six men, ranging in age from their teens to their 80s.
Of the 152 active cases, two patients are still hospitalized. The county has reported 181 recoveries and 32 deaths. According to the Washington County Joint Information Center (JIC), another previously confirmed case was removed from the county’s total case count after it received word the patient in question was not a county resident.
According to the JIC, the 365 positive cases—including recovered and deceased patients—make up 1.02 percent of the population within the county.
The county, as of Monday, has performed an estimated 4,148 COVID-19 tests.
