BRENHAM ISD WELCOMING OVER 50 NEW TEACHERS, STAFF MEMBERS FOR NEW SCHOOL YEAR

Whether it be in-person or online instruction, students in Brenham ISD will have plenty of new teachers and educators to greet them when school opens in the fall.

According to Human Resources Director Christie Olivarez and Communications Director Veronica Johannsen, as of today (Tuesday), the district has hired 55 new professional staff members for the 2020-21 school year.

The district’s new hires include 14 new staffers at Brenham High School, 13 at Brenham Junior High School, ten for Brenham Middle School, six for Brenham Elementary School, five at Krause Elementary School, four at Alton Elementary School, two for the district’s Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), and one at the Early Childhood Learning Center.

The district’s hiring process began in the spring and is still in progress, so numbers could change as the start of the new school year draws closer.

The district is still accepting applications for several positions.  To apply, go online to https://brenhamisd.tedk12.com.
