Shortly before 1:15 p.m., Sergeant Randy Thumann and K-9 Kolt stopped a Chevy Silverado on I-10 at the 658 mile marker for a traffic violation.

After speaking to the driver, Sgt. Thumann became suspicious that the driver could be involved in transporting illegal narcotics.  He was given consent to search the vehicle and deployed Kolt, who alerted to the presence of narcotics.
