MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY PAINT ON MURAL AT JERRY WILSON PARK
Members of the community came out Monday evening to add to the mural at Jerry Wilson Park in Brenham. Houston artist Charis Kelley is painting the mural, which is located behind the basketball court at the park.
Jerry Wilson Park is in the historic Camp town Community and the mural reflects prominent people and places such as Mr. Jerry Wilson, Washington Irving, W.I. Alton II, and pays homage to ancestors of prominence in the conception of Brenham and the Camp town community.

The mural is part of the Jerry Wilson Park improvements project funded by the Brenham Community Development Corporation which included a playscape, park connectivity-sidewalks, additional seating, low level lighting, a water fountain, and bike rack.
