CUBETTES CLINCH SECOND PLACE WITH 4-0 WIN OVER A&M CONSOLIDATED
The Brenham Cubette Softball Team clinched the #2 seed in District 19-5A by winning their one game playoff against A&M Consolidated yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon in Mumford.
Della Jasinski pitched another in long line of gems going seven scoreless innings. She allowed only two base runners, one on a hit, and the other by hitting a batter. Jasinski also finished the game with 13 strikeouts.
Brenham scored one run in the first inning, two runs in the second inning, and one more insurance run in the third inning.
Avery Maurer had a single, a triple, and scored a run. Annie Beckendorf had an RBI single and scored a run as well. Kenley Mikolajchak and Kaylyn Rodriguez account for the other two Cubette hits in the game.
