BURLESON CO. K-9 RECEIVES DONATION OF BODY ARMOR

  

A Burleson County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit is newly outfitted after a donation of body armor from a non-profit organization.

K-9 Judge has received a bullet and stab-protective vest from Vested Interest in K9’s, Inc.  The organization provides vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.

The body armor is U.S. made, custom fitted and certified by the National Institute of Justice.  Each vest weighs around 4-5 lbs. and has a value of $1,800.

Since the organization’s establishment in 2009, it has provided over 5,100 vests to K-9s across the country.
