DOWNTOWN NAVASOTA BUILDING TO BE DEMOLISHED
The City of Navasota is demolishing a downtown building this week.
The building is located adjacent to city hall at the corner of Holland Street and Farquhar Street.
The city says a large portion of the roof and several interior walls have collapsed. An evaluation by the new owner determined the building was unrepairable.
A specific start date for when demolition will begin was not provided. Work crews will be inside a fenced area.
Anyone with questions about the demolition is asked to contact the City of Navasota building department at 936-825-2961.

That is a shame, the exterior walls look stable, I wish there was a way to restore it. Hopefully it is not replaced by some ugly metal building.
