ONE HOSPITALIZED AFTER CRASH ON HIGHWAY 36
One person was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon north of Brenham.
The accident occurred around 12:45 p.m. in the 6800 block of Highway 36 North.
According to DPS, a 2020 Porsche passenger car was traveling southbound at what was considered to be an unsafe speed for the current roadway conditions. The Porsche hydroplaned, went into the northbound lane and was struck by a 2012 Kenworth headed northbound.
The driver of the Porsche was transported to St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan with suspected serious injuries.
The driver of the Kenworth was not injured.

Too many wet weather accidents for sure. Take the DPS tips seriously, slow down, base you drive on road conditions, allow yourself extra distance, no cruise control on rain slick roads, keep headlights on.
