DEPUTIES MAKE DRUG ARREST IN BURLESON COUNTY

  

Burleson County Sheriff’s Deputies made a drug arrest following a traffic stop on Wednesday.

Deputies Marshall Bengs and Brandon Allen stopped the vehicle on Highway 21 West of Caldwell for exceeding the posted limit.

After speaking with the driver, 19-year-old Angel Salinas, Deputy Bengs deployed K-9 Officer Judge.

Judge alerted the deputies to the presence of contraband inside the vehicle. 

A search by deputies turned up six pounds of marijuana, 600 grams of THC cartridges, and half an ounce of psilocybin mushrooms.

Salinas was arrested and taken to the Burleson County Jail in Caldwell for booking.
