BURTON CRUSHES MILANO 41-0 TO CLINCH PLAYOFF SPOT
The Burton Panther Football Team clinched a playoff spot on Friday night with a 41-0 win over the Milano Eagles.
Burton QB K.D. Patterson got it started with a pair of touchdown down runs in the first quarter, one for 13 yards and the other for 26 yard yards.
In the second quarter, Patterson found Drayton Oakes on an eight-yard touchdown pass. D'Mitry Schulte added the extra point to make it 20-0 at half time.
Patterson picked up his third rushing touchdown on a nine-yard run in the third quarter. Schulte added the extra point.
Then, in the fourth quarter, Patterson found Braydon Martin on a 28-yard touchdown pass. Martin scored again on a 12-yard touchdown run. Schulte added the extra points after both scores.
Burton now gets ready to host Iola on Friday night at 7pm in the first game on their new field. It will also be Burton's Homecoming Game.
