KWHI GIVES AWAY LOTS OF PRIZES DURING HALLOWEEN PARTY
KWHI helped area youth celebrate the spooky season Thursday night with its annual on-the-radio Halloween Party.
Special guest DJs called families who turned in Halloween Party entry cards and awarded dozens of prizes, ranging from new toys and electronics, to gift certificates to local businesses, to tickets for upcoming events.
The grand prize winners won boy’s and girl’s bicycles from Nicholson Lake Road RV Park and Mr. Windshield. The first winner was 7-year-old Jase Schroeder.
The second big winner was 8-year-old Lyric Fontenot.
There were many other winners on the night too, like 10-year-old Lonna Wunderlich.
For decades, KWHI has hosted the Halloween Party as a way for families to enjoy a safe, fun alternative to standard trick-or-treating and to encourage them to get home at an early hour.
Families should hang on to the coupons that came with the Halloween Party cards, as they are good through the end of the year and contain deals for places like Bush’s Chicken, Horseshoe Junction and Whataburger.
Winners can pick up their prizes at the KWHI offices at 223 East Main Street in downtown Brenham.
