BRENHAM CUBETTE TRIO SIGN THEIR LETTERS OF INTENT
As the countdown is on to the start of their Senior season, three members of the Brenham Cubette Softball Team held their Signing Day Ceremonies this (Wednesday) morning at Brenham High School.
In front of family, friends, and fans, SS Avery Maurer committed to Sam Houston State University, OF Sarah Mabie committed to Angelina College, and RHP Heidi Busker committed to Gettysburg College.
Maurer is a four year starter on Varsity, and is a second generation Cubette. Last season as a junior, she had a .356 batting average, a .454 on-base precentage, and a .545 slugging percentage. Maurer also added three homers, 17 RBIs, and 16 stolen bases.
Mabie, who is also a four year starter on Varsity, hit .417 last season, with a .738 slugging percentage, a .450 batting average, nine doubles, three triples, six homers, and 34 RBIs.
Both Maurer and Mabie were First Team All District Selections.
Busker, who transferred to Brenham for her sophomore season, will be in her third season with the Cubettes. Last season, she went 5-7 with a 2.63 ERA and two saves.
