At San Antonio, Blinn was the first-place team in reasons, swine, and goats. It was third in cattle.
Owen Seidenberger was second high individual, placing first in reasons and sheep, third in goats, and fifth in swine.
Lane Higbie was fourth high individual, including a ninth-place finish in sheep. Grant Kubala was fifth high individual, placing third in reasons, fourth in cattle, and seventh in goats. Lane Hogan was eighth high, finishing second in reasons and 10th in cattle. Cole Monroe placed fifth in cattle and eighth in reasons.
“This group is consistent, determined, and willing to work,” coach Quest Newberry said. “The team’s hard work has been paying off with results, and now it’s time for us to make a strong push to the finish line of their sophomore season.”
Livestock judging is part of Blinn’s Agricultural Sciences Program, which has one of the most active extracurricular programs in the state. Blinn offers agriculture classes on all its campuses, with the W.J. “Bill” Rankin Agricultural Complex on the Brenham Campus serving as the program’s headquarters.
