JUDGE EDDIE HARRISON JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION SATURDAY AT WASHINGTON-ON-THE-BRAZOS
The Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site is set to host the annual Judge Eddie E. Harrison Juneteenth Heritage Celebration.
The free event will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the historic site grounds. It is held in memory of the late Judge Eddie E. Harrison, who was instrumental in organizing the Juneteenth celebration starting in 2017.
This year’s event will honor African American churches in the Brazos Valley, featuring performances from local church choirs and a program about the impact the churches have had on their communities.
Guests can also look forward to live entertainment, informational booths, cultural heritage demonstrations, craft vendors, and food and refreshments.
