BRENHAM POLICE DEPT. TO HOST ‘COFFEE WITH COPS’ OCT. 1

The Brenham Police Department invites the community to its upcoming “Coffee with Cops” event.

The come-and-go gathering will take place on Wednesday, October 1st from 7 to 9 a.m. in the Community Room at the Brenham Police Department, 1800 Longwood Drive.  Held in recognition of National Coffee with a Cop Day, the event will provide a casual setting for residents to visit one-on-one with members of the department about matters that are important to them.

Participants will include Police Chief Gary Boshears and officers and staff from the department’s patrol, investigations and administrative divisions.

Boshears says the department looks forward to spending time with community members and having open, meaningful conversations with them.  He adds, “Events like Coffee with Cops give us the chance to listen, learn, and connect outside of emergency situations or official business.”

Boshears says this will be the first in a series of community outreach and engagement initiatives that the department plans to host on a regular basis.
