CARLI KOEHNE SEEKING ELECTION AS WASHINGTON CO. DISTRICT CLERK
Carli Koehne has announced her candidacy for district clerk in the March 2026 Republican primary election in Washington County.
Koehne has been serving as interim district clerk since June, after the resignation of Kimberley Boyce the month prior. She has over 28 years of experience with Washington County, most recently as an executive administrative assistant in the county judge’s office. She has also held roles in the offices of the county clerk and county treasurer.
Koehne states that her efforts to improve services in the district clerk’s office have included initiating the process of returning passport processing to the courthouse and making essential services more accessible and convenient for residents. She says her focus is on modernizing operations, enhancing customer service, being responsive to the needs of the public and ensuring the courts have the administrative support they need to function smoothly.
Koehne says it has been an honor to serve as interim district clerk. She adds that she is grateful for the trust placed in her and is excited about the opportunity to continue moving the office forward in a way that guarantees efficiency, integrity, innovation and accountability.
Carli and her husband, Jeff, have three children: Cheyanne and husband Chris, Tyler, and Weston. They also have a granddaughter, Mabel.
