The city finished the year well above 2024’s total of $46,779,592 on 309 permits.
In 2025, 193 new homes were permitted for $34,696,473. That exceeds the 111 home permits for $19,001,405 in 2024. Residential renovations and additions combined for $3,680,583 on 102 permits, which were below 2024’s numbers of $4,171,843 on 114 permits.

Three multi-family residential permits were issued in 2025 for $500,000, with one renovation permit for $7,700. There were no multi-family residential permits issued in 2024.
The city issued 12 commercial building permits for $19,118,073 in 2025, in comparison to 13 permits worth $13,424,395 the year before. Commercial renovations and additions in 2025 came out to $19,324,722 on 48 permits, with 2024’s coming in at $9,964,949 on 59 permits.
For December 2025, the city granted 17 permits for $5,936,185. December 2024 recorded 21 permits for $1,449,175.
The largest individual permit this past December went to Berkley Eye Center for $4,295,988, for new construction of an eye clinic and ambulatory surgery center at 2631 Ryan Street.
