CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK EXPANDS TO BRENHAM
A Central Texas bank is opening a new location in Brenham.
Citizens National Bank (CNB) is now serving clients at 317 South Austin Street, next to PoolTex, and is building a permanent home at 400 South Austin Street.
Citizens National Bank is a family-owned, independent community bank based out of Cameron that has served Central Texas since 1900. The new Brenham location will offer full personal and business banking services, including commercial lending, treasury management, and relationship-based banking.
CNB President and CEO Steven Wise said the bank is “excited to become part of the Brenham community and to bring CNB’s relationship-focused approach to banking to Washington County.” He said, “Our 125 year legacy reflects the trust our clients place in us, and this new location allows us to deepen our commitment to supporting local businesses, families, and community development in this region.”
Leading the Brenham team is Jim Kruse, a lifelong Brenham resident and senior banking executive who is serving as Market President. Kruse is joined by Dawn Robertson, Senior Commercial Lender; Lisa Conner, Branch Service Manager; and Cathie Klatte, Senior Personal Banker.
Kruse said, “Brenham is a vibrant and growing community with a strong sense of pride and connection. Our team is eager to build meaningful relationships and provide tailored financial solutions that help local businesses and residents thrive. We’re proud to represent CNB and its long tradition of community banking.”
With the new Brenham location, CNB now operates 10 branches across Washington, Milam, Lee, Williamson, Travis and Bell counties. The bank reports $660 million in assets.
