MAN CHARGED IN HWY 21 FATAL HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT
Bryan Police have released the name of the man they believe is responsible a fatal hit and run accident on Highway 21 in Brazos County.
On January14th, police say Leroy Conerway Jr. was driving westbound in the 4900 block of State Highway 21 when he stuck 48-year-old Genevieve Serna, fatally injuring the pedestrian.
Authorities say Conerway left the scene without rendering aide to Serna.
The victim was found lying in a ditch near the St. James Church at Highway 21 and Lincoln Street. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Conerway turned himself in last week and bonded out the same day. He is charged with an accident involving death- a second degree felony.
