DIFFERENT DWI

  

A woman driver was  arrested for  a different kind of driving while intoxicated charge early Saturday evening.

Thirty-three year old Lisa Louise Stefka ran into a utility pole at the intersection of South Day and Stone at 6:49pm Saturday.  Brenham police officer Stephen Eilert believed Stekfa was intoxicated.  Officers Curtis Schoen and Ashley Burns arrived at the scene for backup.  Officers Burns said that Stefka had been the subject of a welfare call earlier in the day and was warned not to drive for several hours after taking some prescription medications.  Stefka did not heed this warning and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
