BREWTON CHOSEN FOR ALL-STAR GAME
Brenham Cubs senior pitcher/designated hitter Dakota Brewton has been chosen to play in a post-season all-star game.
Brewton has been selected to play in the Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association 4A All-Star Game
The game will be played, Tuesday, June 17 at 4:30 @ Baseball USA in Houston.
Brewton hit .391 this season with eight doubles and eight home runs—which was tied for the team lead.
He also scored 17 runs and drove in 32, with a .462 on base percentage and a slugging average of .739.
On the mound, Brewton was 2-0 with a 2.40 earned run average and 29 strikeouts in 35 innings pitched.
Brewton will be headed to Blinn College in the fall to play for the Buccaneers.
