17TH ANNUAL LEE COUNTY FAIR COMING SOON TO GIDDINGS

  

The 17th annual Lee County Fair and Charcoal Challenge BBQ Cook-off is coming to the fairgrounds in Giddings the 19th through the 21st. This year’s fair will feature a carnival, food, BBQ cook-off and much more.

On the 19th admission to the fairgrounds will be free. The Mighty Thomas Carnival will open that night with two for one arm bands available at the Chamber office until the 17th. The Risky Liver Band will be on the Charcoal Challenge Stage Thursday night from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

From 10:00am to 4:00pm on Friday it is Senior Citizens Day and admission will be free to all seniors’ ages 60 and better. Also on Friday, the 2016 Lee County Fair Queen Pageant, beginning at 7:00pm. The Randy Rogers Band will be on the big pavilion around 10:30pm and Black Cat Choir will be on the Charcoal Challenge Stage from 7:00pm to midnight.

Saturday the 21st, is armed forces day. Armed Forces Day will be celebrated with a special ceremony at the Veteran’s Memorial Park area and with a parade beginning at 10:00am. Musical entertainment continues Saturday with Rick Trevino headlining at 11:00pm on Main Stage.
