A&M/SHSU AMONG MOST EXPENSIVE IN THE STATE

  

Two Brazos Valley colleges made the top-five list of the most expensive in the state of Texas.

Sam Houston State University came in at number five, and Texas A&M University lands at fourth most expensive.

This data comes from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board when comparing the fall 2016 semester's average tuition, and fees per student for the state's 38 public universities.

At Texas A&M, the fall 2016 semester cost for in-state students is about $5,225, and for Sam Houston State the price-tag was $5,185.

University of Texas at Dallas, University of North Texas, and University of Houston top the list—in that order.

The bargain state school looks to be Texas A&M University-Central Texas in Killeen at $2,906 per semester.
