BIG CROWDS FLOCK TO SCARECROW FESTIVAL
The 38th Annual Chappell Hill Scarecrow Festival concluded Sunday with a big and enthusiastic crown in downtown Chappell Hill.
In addition to the arts & crafts vendors, the festival also featured live music, plenty of children’s activities and of course, the Scarecrows all throughout the town.
Despite threatening skies Saturday, the rains stayed away and the activities went off without a hitch.
Sunday, after a morning thunderstorm, everything went off without a hitch.
Chappell Hill Historical Society President John Durenberger says there were excellent crowds both days.
Durenberger said the crown that came out Sunday morning came with a “great attitude” and didn’t mind weathering the rains.
