BJHS PLACES THIRD IN DISTRICT AT UIL ONE-ACT PLAY CONTEST

  

Brenham Junior High School eighth graders finished third place at the District level of the UIL One-Act Play contest.

The competition was held on February 24th at Lynn Lukas Middle School in Willis ISD.

The honorees of the award include: Aidan Strickland, Hunter Bender, Kate Barnes, Sydney Ross, Erissa Spry, Amber Pittman, Emma Spangle, Elyssa Martin, Kara Freeman (sponsor), Annie Clepper, Samantha Rogers, Autumn Green, and Glenn Jackson.

The following students were honored with individual awards during the competition:

Sydney Ross, Zone and District Best Actress
Aidan Strickland, Zone All Star Cast, District Honorable Mention All Star Cast
Hunter Bender, Zone and District Honorable Mention All Star Cast
Annie Clepper, Zone All Star Cast
Emma Spangle, Zone All Star Crew
Kate Barnes, District All Star Crew

  1. Awesome accomplishment considering entire cast learned sign language…it was a heavy task and they performed beautifully. Thanks to the director for challenging these students and the principal and staff for supporting them. Quite an undertaking for eighth graders. Much pride for our school system.
