BRAZOS CO. ACCIDENT CLAIMS MAN’S LIFE

  

A Bryan man is dead following an accident in Brazos County over the weekend.

Scott Everett Johnson was killed after his pickup struck a tree on East Villa Maria Road in Bryan, Saturday night.

Traffic was shut down between Wellborn Road and South College for several hours Saturday night just after 7:00.

Officers on scene Johnson’s pickup was travelling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and struck an oak tree.

Johnson was partially ejected when the truck landed on top of him. Police say a number unknown citizens rolled the truck off of Johnson.

Johnson was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
