BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT THANKSGIVING REPORT

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to several calls on Thanksgiving Day.

Around 9:30am, the Brenham Fire Department responded to 1202 Garrett St. for an automatic fire alarm.  Upon arrival and after investigation BFD found that the residents were cooking and forgot to turn the vent hood on and set off a smoke detector.  There was no emergency.

Then right before 11am, the BFD responded to 4001 State Highway 36 S., Brenham State Supported Living Center, for an automatic alarm.  While en route Dispatch to cancel the response per the alarm company.  A client had accidently activated a pull station, there was no emergency.

A little after 5:30pm the BFD responded to 2009 Old Chappell Hill Rd at the , Brenham Collection Station, for a mulch pile burning.  Upon arrival BFD found a large mulch pile burning.  BFD along with Collection Station personnel used heavy equipment to tear down the mulch pile and extinguish it.

And finally, around 10:15pm, the BFD responded to 8901 US highway 290 E in Chappell Hill for a motor vehicle crash with possible entrapment.  Before BFD’s arrival Washington Co. EMS arrived and advised that all occupants were out of the vehicle and rescue was not needed.
