BRENHAM HERITAGE MUSEUM CELEBRATES TEXAS HISTORY THROUGH THE BARREL OF A GUN

  

The Brenham Heritage Museum presented an exhibit entitled Lawmen, Lawbreakers and Soldiers: Texas History Through The Barrel of a Gun on Saturday which included a 21 Gun Salute to honor Phil Coe, and Veterans of the Second Texas Regiment.

The event began at Prairie Lea Cemetery and ended at 11:30 am at the Brenham Heritage Museum, where the following were inducted into the Hall of Fame: Hall of Fame Inductions include: Philip Coe, George Armstrong Custer, Col. John S. Ford, Matthew Gaines, George Giddings, John Wesley Hardin, Gideon Lincecum, Bill Longley, Joseph P. Lynch, James W. McDade, Leander McNelly, George Milton, and Ben Thompson.

  1. Thank you very much to the Brenham Heritage Museum and all who came out to support our family as we honored my Great Great Grandfather George Milton and others this weekend. It was a great event!

    1. It is sad that the museum did not advertise this event. In the past they have advertised many events, but I did not see anything regarding this. If I would have known, I would have been there to support the Christensen Family. I sincerely hope it was a great event. Also want to mention that I am a member of the museum and receive mailings on a regular basis regarding events that are happening, but knew nothing about this!! Saw banners on the side of the museum on Friday, but why did we not know about it?
