BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL BAND STUDENTS EARN PLACE IN REGION 23 BAND

  

Brenham High school students this past week competed at the Region 23 All-Region band tryouts, and five freshman earned spons in the Region 23 Freshman Band.

Nineteen students from Brenham High school earned All-District honors and thirteen Brenham students earned spots in one of the three All-Region bands, three of which were placed in the top All-Region Band.

All the bands perform a concert on January 16 at Cypress Woods High School.  All four ensembles will be under the direction of outstanding clinicians.  The clinician for the Wind Ensemble is Sam Hazo, one of the foremost composers of wind band literature.

Congratulations to everyone who worked hard to improve and test themselves against such strong competition.

Brenham ISD Superintendent Walter Jackson says about the accomplishment, " Outstanding Job! Please extend my warmest congratulations to the students on a job well done! We are B-Nation proud of all our students! It's a great day to be in the Cub Band!
