BRENHAM MAN FACES NUMEROUS CHARGES
A Brenham man faces multiple charges after his arrest last (Sunday) night.
Just before 10:30, Officer Jonathan Phipps responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 west in reference to a suspect attempting to sell drugs in the parking lot.
The caller said the man had approached him and offered to sell him Xanax.
Phipps says he located the suspect, 23-year old Zachary Eugene Ford of Brenham, and during a probable cause search, located narcotics in his pockets.
Ford reportedly resisted arrest initially, but eventually complied after several commands to stop.
Sgt. Seth Klehm conducted a search of the vehicle and found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Ford is charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a controlled substance; Possession of a controlled substance; Possession of marijuana and Resisting arrest.
