BRENHAM WOMAN ARRESTED ON OUTSTANDING WARRANTS

  

A Brenham woman has been arrested on outstanding warrants out of Bastrop County.

On Tuesday morning, June 9th, around 2:00am, Washington County Deputy Ben Forman observed a vehicle parked behind a local gas station in the 4100 block of State Highway 36 North.

Upon further investigation, Deputy Forman made contact with a female subject, forty-one year old April Anne Wofford of Brenham, who was standing outside of the vehicle.

After obtaining her identification, a state wide check revealed that Wofford had outstanding warrants in Bastrop County for misdemeanor Theft.

Deputy Forman placed Wofford under arrest and then proceeded to conduct an inventory search of her vehicle.  During the search, a small baggie of crystal methamphetamine was located.

Wofford was transported to the Washington County Jail where she remains under bond.

In addition to the Bastrop County warrant, Wofford was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Dangerous Drug, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
