BURTON HI-SPEED CHASE ENDS IN ARREST
A high-speed chase led to the arrest of a man by Burton Police.
According the Chief Greg Rolling, the suspect—whose name has not been released—was speeding through Burton, Friday afternoon.
Rolling says the suspect sped off toward Brenham on Highway 290 before he was finally stopped near the Westwood area, at speeds of over 90 miles per hour.
According to Rolling, the suspect tried to swallow some narcotics. He was arrested and taken to Scott and White Hospital.
Rolling says the case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.
