CHAPPELL HILL CHAMBER CELEBRATES LOCAL BUSINESSES AND COMMUNITY LEADERS

  

The Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce celebrated another successful year with a sold out crowd at the newly built Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department Event Center this past Saturday as they held their “Hearts & Flowers – Taste of Chappell Hill" banquet.

Bob Davis was honored with the “2016 Man of the Year” award for his numerous contributions not only to Chappell Hill but the entire county with his leadership on the Animal Friends of Washington County Board, his leadership with the Chappell Hill Historical Society and continued role with the Harris County Child Advocates Board.  Under Bob’s leadership, the Chappell Hill Historical Society has refurbished their stage and already hosting numerous functions and re-launched the cultural arts in Chappell Hill.

Carol Salah, owner of 291 Ice House was presented with the “2016 Woman of the Year” award for her role in helping with numerous community functions such as the fundraisers for friends in need and helping promote Chappell Hill.  Carol took on the role of helping raise funds for the community Washington County EMS program and has recruited new volunteers and support for the Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce and the community

“This was one of the largest attended banquets for our Chamber of Commerce and we are very appreciative of the support from the local businesses, community leaders, and friends and neighbors that came out to enjoy an evening celebrating our business community,” stated John Wick, President of the Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce.

“Our chamber, which is operated by volunteers, celebrated another successful year of promoting our businesses, producing one of the area’s largest July 4th celebrations and planning for business promotions in 2017 which is where the funds we raised at this event will benefit us the most" said Wick.

The Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce presented Revolution Printing with the “2016 Business of the Year Award” for their civic engagement and numerous in-kind projects they have contributed to the community.  This 15 year-old business has recently expanded to Washington County and quickly embraced the Chappell Hill community.

“We are very appreciative of the community of Chappell Hill and have a lot of opportunities planned to promote our businesses and community for 2017.  We are especially appreciative of the local restaurant and businesses that showcased their culinary delights by providing the meals such as 290 From the Ground Up, Bevers Kitchen, Chappell Hill Sausage, Chappell Hill Bakery & Deli and Texas Star Winery,” concluded Wick.
