CHAPPELL HILL VFD ADDS NEW VEHICLE
The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department has added a new piece of equipment to its lineup.
On Friday, the fire department put into service a new fire suppression unit- a 2016 Polaris Ranger Utility Task Vehicle. It will be used to help fire fighters focus on hard to reach areas in wildfire situations.
The new vehicle is loaded with a 70-gallon skid and a five gallon foam system. The vehicle was budgeted at $25,000. The money was primarily raised through fundraisers and donations made to the Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
