CHILD SAFETY SEAT CHECKUP MARCH 8TH

Just having a car seat for your child is not enough. Having the right car seat and installing it correctly in your vehicle can make all the difference if you have an accident.

Austin County’s Texas A&M AgriliLife Extension Agent Michelle Allen says 3 out of 4 car seats are used incorrectly. For a child safety seat to do its job correctly, it must be appropriate for your child’s age and size; installed properly in your vehicle; and adjusted to fit your child securely. That’s why Allen and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a free child safety seat checkup event on March 8th at the Austin County Fairgrounds.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 8th, certified technicians will be at the Charlie Brandes Entertainment Pavilion to provide on-site child safety seat inspections and education.
