CHILI WHEN IT’S CHILLY SET FOR WALLER THIS WEEKEND
The 8th annual Chili When It’s Chilly Cook-off kicks off today (Friday) at the Lonestar Jellystone Park in Waller. It’s still not too late to register for the cook-off. Today (Friday) from 3pm to 5pm at the park there will be pre-registration and on Saturday from 8am to 11am.
All proceeds with go to benefit The Boot Campaign. The Boot Campaign helps recently deployed soldiers once they come back home.
Michael Wren, Executive Director of A Major Funding (a non-profit organization) says that this will be a great two day event for a good cause.
This year’s theme for the event is “Honor the American Flag”. Cooks, teams, and everyone else attending are encouraged to decorate their space patriotically.
