Chilifest in Snook kicks off tonight, doors opened at Noon and running until midnight at the Starlight Ballroom on Highway 60 and FM 3058. There will also be a park and ride service for those who do not wish to drive.

General admission tickets for Friday and Saturday are $75, and $40 for Saturday only. The gates open at 10:00 am on Saturday and close at 9:00pm

Friday’s entertainment lineup includes Reckless Kelly, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Sam Riggs, Shane Smith and the Saints, and Cody Wayne and Westbound 21.

Saturday’s lineup includes the Eli Young Band, Josh Abbott Band, Chase Rice, The Marshall Tucker Band, and Aaron Watson.

The event goes on despite the death of Chilifest founder Slaton Smith, who passed away April 8th after a long battle with cancer. He was 45 years old.

Proceeds from Chilifest will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters, Brazos Valley Children’s Museum, Special Olympics, and Hospice of Brazos Valley among others.
